Don's last appearances: Don Helms was a living legend. We hope you saw the last of the drifting cowboys on one of his appearances. It was a part of American musical history.
Don performed frequently at the Nashville Tennessee Steel Guitar Association "SUPERJAM" which is held several times per year. Information at www.ntsga.com precedes each super jam and follows up afterwards.

Don was a regular performer at the big "Scotty's International steel guitar Convention in St Louis Missouri, which is held the 4 day weekend before labor day each year. 

Don appeared each year at the Steel Guitar show in Illinois held in April.

Multiple steel guitar shows now have commemorations to Don Helms.

Don was joined by the top session steel player, Lloyd Green, at the NTSGA show.
Speaking of legends, Listening to Don and Lloyd that night, in a crowd full of top steel players, was the famous Buddy Emmons.
